前列腺细胞凋亡反应-4 (prostate apoptosis response protein,PAR-4) [Homo sapiens],(C26H41N9O9),是含有 H2N-Ala-Thr-Gly-Gly-Tyr-Arg-OH序列的一个肽(MW 为623.66)。 Par-4因子能诱导癌细胞而非正常细胞凋亡的人类基因。PAR-4抑制和激活转录。由这个基因编码的蛋白质是一个和PAR-4相互作用的蛋白,这个蛋白本身是一个转录抑制因子。它包含一个假定的可以和PAR-4的锌指DNA结合域相互作用的亮氨酸锌指域。这个蛋白质专门调节前列腺细胞的凋亡[1]。在不影响转基因老鼠的正常生存和衰老的前提下,Par-4有抗癌作用,且这种抗癌效应具有治疗意义[2]。
