淀粉样蛋白A序列为H2N-Ala-Gly-Leu-Pro-Glu-Lys-Tyr-OH,也称为血清淀粉样蛋白A(SSA),是一种载脂蛋白,与血浆中高密度脂蛋白(HDL)相关。不同亚型的SAA可在不同水平下组成型表达(组成型SAAs)或响应于炎症刺激而产生(急性期SAAs)。
这些蛋白质主要是由肝脏产生的[1],在所有无脊椎动物和脊椎动物中具有保守性,表明SAAs在所有动物中发挥非常重要的作用[2]。
