SR59230A 是一种有效的选择性β3-肾上腺素能受体拮抗剂(β3 IC50 = 40 nM,β1 IC50 = 408 nM,β2 IC50 = 648 nM),并具有穿透血脑屏障的能力。SR59230A对β3-AR的特异性拮抗作用,能抑制NB生长和肿瘤进展,通过特异性阻断SK2/S1P2信号,在体内和体外实现从干细胞转变为细胞分化。SR 59230A浓度依赖性地抵消了NE刺激下的,融合棕色脂肪细胞中,解偶联蛋白基因的合成,这主要是选择性刺激β3肾上腺素受体的结果。在载体之后,MDMA产生了缓慢发展的过高热,在注射后 130 分钟达到最高上升1.8 摄氏度。低浓度的SR59230A(0.5 mg x kg(-1))对MDMA引起的缓慢发展的过高热,产生较小但显著的衰减。高浓度的SR59230A(5 mg x kg(-1))显示对MDMA有显著的早期低温反应,α(1)-肾上腺素受体拮抗剂prazosin模拟了这种作用。
