β-白细胞介素I（163-171），人源，分子式为C39H64N12O19，序列为Val-Gln-Gly-Glu-Glu-Ser-Asn-Asp-Lys，分子量为1005。白细胞介素是一类细胞因子，又称分泌蛋白或信号分子，首次从白细胞的表达中鉴定得到。白细胞介素1α和白细胞介素1β（IL-1α和IL-1β）是一种细胞因子，可参与免疫应答、炎症反应和造血调节。
白细胞介素-1β（IL-1β）也被称为catabolin，即由人类IL1B基因编码的细胞因子蛋白。IL-1β前体被caspase 1（白细胞介素1β的转化酶）分解，胞质硫醇蛋白酶分解其产物，形成成熟的IL-1β。IL-1β属于白细胞介素1细胞因子家族。这种细胞因子是炎症反应的重要调节剂，涉及各种细胞活动，包括细胞增殖、分化和凋亡。
