产品描述
β-elemene is extracted from natural plant turmeric and has antitumor activity. β-elemene can induce apoptosis[1].
In VSC4.1 motor neuron cell line, β-elemene (20 μg/ml) can enhance cell viability by activating phosphorylation of the PI3K/AKT/mTOR pathway. β-elemene reduces CoCl2-induced cell death and apoptosis [2].
In SCI rat models, β-elemene increases motor neuron survival rate and reduces neuronal apoptosis in spinal cord ventral horn neurons. β-elemene can accelerate the recovery of motor behavior after spinal cord injury. In addition, β-elemene reduced the secretion of interleukin-6 and interleukin-1β[2].
