产品描述
Digitonin is a detergent that binds to cholesterol molecules in the cell membrane to increase cell permeability [1]. Digitonin has increased the uptake of a cisplatin analog into human ovarian carcinoma cells in vitro by a factor of 4 [2].
In LH rats, intraperitoneal administration of carboplatin at 5 mg / kg can inhibit tumor growth, and digitalis saponins can enhance this inhibition. Digitonin is administered with carboplatin at a dose of 5 mg/kg and no increase in toxicity is observed. Systemic administration of carboplatin is not influenced by digitonin. Pretreatment with digitonin increases the tumour uptake of carboplatin and potentiates the cytotoxic effect of carboplatin.
