钙粘蛋白肽，禽类，分子式为C44H75N17O13，序列为Leu-Arg-Ala-His-Ala-Val-Asp-Val-Asn-Gly-NH2，分子量为1050.2。钙粘蛋白，又被称为钙依赖性粘附蛋白，是一类1型跨膜蛋白。它们在细胞粘附过程中发挥重要作用，从而确保组织内的细胞结合在一起，依赖于钙离子（Ca2+）发挥作用。钙粘蛋白是一种合成的多肽，经历许多翻译后修饰成为介导细胞-细胞粘连和识别的蛋白质。钙粘蛋白可以同时作为受体和配体。在发育过程中，他们有助于细胞的正确定位，参与了不同组织层的分离及细胞迁移。在发育的早期阶段，E-cadherin（上皮钙粘蛋白）表达最多。在下一阶段神经板的发育过程中，N-钙粘蛋白（神经钙粘蛋白）表达，E-钙粘蛋白的表达下降。最后，在脊索的发育和体节的缩合过程中，E-、P-和N-cadherin表达增加。经过发育过程之后，钙粘蛋白在维持细胞和组织结构以及细胞运动中发挥作用。
