血管紧张素I / II(2-7)是一种多肽,序列为Arg-Val-Tyr-Ile-His-Pro,包含氨基酸2-7,是由血管紧张素Ⅰ/Ⅱ转换而来的。
肾素作用于血管紧张素原形成血管紧张素I,血管紧张素原是一个含12个氨基酸的α2-球蛋白。血管紧张素原主要在肝脏中产生,释放到循环系统中。肾素作用于血管紧张素原的亮氨酸(Leu)和缬氨酸(Val)之间的肽键,生成含有10个氨基酸血管紧张素I,血管紧张素I在肺中血管紧张素转换酶(ACE)的作用下,除去两个C-末端残基转变为血管紧张素II(AII)。
血管紧张素是一种肽类激素,引起血管收缩及随后的血压升高。血管紧张素也刺激醛固酮的释放,从而促进远端肾单位的钠滞留,增加血压。
